Hotel Marketing Coach: Taming the Power of the Internet
Since he entered the industry in 1967, Neil Salerno (principle of "Hotel Marketing Coach") has held positions in sales, marketing, and management operations as an associate, department head, and as vice president for prestigious hotel management companies companies such as: W. B. Johnson Properties, Servico, Inc., The Peabody Hotel Group, Marcus Corporation, Remington Hotels, and Prime Motor Inns.
The increasing influence of the Internet on the hotel industry captured Neil's focus, in 1996, and inspired him to research and develop methods to design functional web sites, maximize search engine results, manage third-party supplier contribution, manage rates and inventory, and assist hotels to get their fair share (and more) of this increasingly competitive environment. Neil is a prolific writer whose articles on Hotel Internet Marketing are distributed on all the major Hotel Web Portals. Although his articles and efforts span a range of marketing methods, his focus is on improving the hospitality industry's use of the Internet and individual hotel's own web sites to increase their market share of this ever more important source of business.
Many of Neil's articles will be found in DB&A's online Marketing Articles.
